September 2021 - MSL's Chief Executive, Gary Bryant, relishes seeing the return of in-person Freshers Fayres and Welcome Weeks for our UK clients after what has been a tough year for the student experience.
It has been fantastic to see so many posts of in-person Welcome Weeks and Freshers Fayres, from our UK clients, after what has been a tough year for the student experience.
As an enabler in the delivery of services to students, technology will always have a significant role to play (I would say that wouldn't I!) However, the last 18 months has ably demonstrated this, with the ability to extend engagement and enrichment beyond what might traditionally have only been delivered in-person together with the automation of inefficient workflows - no-one wants to go back from here but instead build upon it.
Arguably, MSL and our clients have been "doing blended" before it was even a thing by together delivering the digital pathway of the student enrichment journey.
However, it is great to see the other side of the blended coin coming back into play with in-person events, so a big pat on the back to all of our client events, activities, clubs and societies teams for all of the work in making this happen for your student members - we know this is just the start.
Myself and all of my colleagues here at MSL, wish you and all of your colleagues who additionally support student voice, democratic services; volunteering and employability; student advocacy and support; marketing; commercial operations; and the wider team a successful 21/22 academic year for you and your student members.
